Baby Pendo Botanical Park Launching

The Kisumu County Government has officially opened the Baby Pendo Botanical Park, a transformation of the former Kachok dumpsite into a public green space to preserve the memory of six-month-old Samantha Pendo.The launch event was jointly presided over by Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o and Housing and Urban Development Principal Secretary Charles Hinga. The park stands as a historical milestone nine years after Baby Pendo tragically lost her life to police injuries during the 2017 post-election crackdowns in Nyalenda.
