Government Pays Sh8 Billion to Clear Fuel Subsidy Arrears

The Kenyan government has paid Sh8 billion to oil marketing companies to clear subsidy arrears for the May–June pricing cycle, easing cash flow pressures in the petroleum sector and helping stabilize fuel supply. However, the State Department of Petroleum still owes about Sh10 billion for the June–July cycle.
