A report by the Chief Land Registrar has uncovered alleged fraud in a 30-year-old land dispute involving a 207-acre property worth an estimated Sh1 billion in Kiganjo, Nyeri County.

The report, now before Justice Evans Makori, alleges that a private company and land officials colluded to unlawfully cancel an irrevocable power of attorney before issuing fraudulent land titles.

According to the dossier, the disputed land was originally purchased in 1983 but was later allegedly subdivided and transferred through irregular processes.

The findings form part of ongoing court proceedings, with lawyers representing the parties requesting more time to review the report before the matter returns to court for mention on November 18.
