Preliminary reports indicate the fixed-wing plane aircraft lost control after experiencing a tire burst which caused it to veer off the runway.
Footage obtained by Kenyans.co.ke shows a small white plane, seemingly looking like the Cessna 208 Caravan, landing awkwardly on its nose, with its tail pointing up.
Several people, including some in uniforms, are seen running across the field toward the crashed aircraft. In the foreground, a similar small white plane with the tail registration 5Y-CMS is stationary on the ground.
